In matching information questions we have to find specific information from the paragraph or from the text. The paragraph are differentiated by using the letters A, B, C and so on and we have to write the letters of the correct paragraphs in the boxes of our answer sheet. May be some paragraphs used more than once and also not every paragraph may be used. When the paragraphs may be used more than once, the instructions will correctly say that we can use the letters more than once. This matching information questions constructed for assessing our ability to scan a text in order to find specific information. It is only focuses on specific information such as specific details, an example, reason, description, comparison, summary or explanation.
In this type of questions, there is a list of headings which are identified by Roman numerals. Each heading summarises the main idea of a paragraph or the text. So we have to match the correct heading to the correct paragraph or text. The paragraphs are identified by the letters A, B, C and so on. We have to find the correct Roman numerals accordance with the paragraph and we have to write on the answer sheet. There will always be more headings than paragraphs or some headings will not be used. No headings may be used more than once but there is one or more paragraph or sections be already matched with the headings. This type of question is to analyse your ability to identify the general topic of a paragraph and also to recognise the difference between the main Idea and supporting idea.
